In 2020, NEWAL completed the first phase of its activities. These included a School for Water & Life and e-learning workshops.

In 2021, the second phase of NEWAL was approved. Activities include a 2022 School for Water & Life in West Africa, Online Webinars & Workshops, a Short course on Responsible Business Conduct, and projects led by university students.

In 2022, NEWAL held a School for Water & Life in Kumasi, attended by 30 students from Switzerland and West Africa, organized 2 webinars, and support 6 student projects.

In 2023, NEWAL organised a study tour in Switzerland.

The NEWAL Seasonal School 2024 will take place in September.
