Virtual Webinars and Workshops

A series of webinars and workshops will be developed for knowledge exchange, serving as a communication platform to complement the winter school students’ research activities. The webinars and workshops will also promote innovation. Thematic topics such as the following will be addressed: Climate change adaptation strategies, Digital innovation and start-up businesses, Water & Peace, Renewable energies, WASH, and a conflict sensitivity perspective on Agriculture and Mining.

During NEWAL phase 1, joint e-learning workshops were organized with the participation of West African students and faculty. These workshops led to a deeper understanding of e-learning needs and opportunities in West African institutions. The lessons learned will help tailor future NEWAL online activities to prevailing conditions in West Africa.
